Summer's Here

We are officially one week into summer break, and I'm still alive!  Haha, honestly it has been great and I am actually so excited about the next 2 months.

I even planted a tree.

The grass is growing so well AND we spent our Canada Day setting up the trampoline for the kids, so they are pretty much good to go for the summer.

They have practically lived on the trampoline since it went up, so that is a great sign.  It is SO nice just to sit outside and relax and hear the wind in the aspens and feel the warm sun.  I love having a useable outdoor space.  Next up is to (re)finish our deck and then decorate with a patio set and more... eventually.  Still, I'm excited.

This week the kids are in their first VBS, which means I have my mornings free(ish).  I'm not used to having mornings off (or to rushing out the door for 9am) but it has been so nice to relax with my cup of coffee in quiet house.  It still feels like there is so much to do, as we head out on holidays soon.  What is it about going on holidays that makes you want to finish ALL of your to-do list and leave the house in a perfect, organized state?  Or is that just me???

We are doing the big road trip for vacation, so hit me up with all of your best kid activities to keep these crazies entertained.

It's been just about a year since we left Comox, wow!  I'm sure there will be a post soon about all of that.  In the meantime, I'm going to soak in the sunshine while it lasts, cause in Calgary I expect it could snow at any moment in time lol.
