Granary Road
I'm flying solo this weekend, with my two little rugrats. Today started poorly as we awoke and the power went out before we got organized for the day. We had grand plans, but realized we were stuck as the garage door wouldn't open without electricity. So, instead we loaded all up and walked to the nearest McDonalds, which luckily was open so I could get a coffee haha.
Even though it was drizzly and cold, we still wanted to have fun as it was a Pro-D day, so we decided to venture out to try a new place - Granary Road Farm.
Granary Road is a farm with an interactive learning park for the kids. It was so cool! The boys loved running around exploring everything, even though it was freezing cold (and likely going to snow tonight). We spent our afternoon there, stopped for a cookie and tea break, and carried on exploring. It got a little too cold and we didn't end up doing the petting zoo, but we will definitely go back to explore more next year!
We started off at the Frog Pond for some bouncing on trampolines, and then took a stroll through Mushroom Meander.
The Orchard Tree House was a hit for climbing and sliding.
In the batcave we explored how bats hang out and saw some real corpses (is that what they're called?) before stopping for a cookie break.
Then we headed back out for the Arachnid Web and the Ant Farm Adventure for more climbing and sliding.
Last stop was the chicken coop before we were too cold and head to head home. I spy a little head cracking from an egg!
What a fun idea for a learning center. We can't wait to go back and explore more. Thanks for a great day Granary Road!
